The "s" does create a back drop, but in general, a good gain. Indexed, is it. Develop it. It will be worth more then. Try to go specific in teh affiliates niche for this domain.

It's a lot better than a lot of the junk that comes through here, but I wouldn't see anyone paying more than $20 for it just as a name. It's good you're developing it, it'll be the best possible avenue for you. Good luck!
