I have had an active campaign in adwords for about 4 days now, plenty of money in the account but I have not received any impressions or clicks, why is this?? my cpc is much higher than the minimum, and I have about 20 targetted keywords, so what is goind on?

ok so I think it is my bids, I have just received my first 2 page impressions and I was in 87th and 88th place, obviously this is just a waste of money, so what should my plan of action be? increase cpc or alter keywords? keywords are already very targetted.
