Hi, Guys I need a little advice.

My website is going under some changes. In the download section of my website I have about 12000 members. The thing is the download manager is quite crappy. So i have decided to put a new one. Would it be advisable to email all of my 12000 and more visitors and telling them of new changes to my site. Would it me considered a spam?

Have they given you there email info when signing up?

If so, I would say no. If I received a nice mail from a company where i used there services, saying, "Yes, we know the old Download manager was rubbish...so, here's a new one, let us know what you think" I would class that as VARY GOOD customer relations. NOT SPAM!

Thanks.

You should also consider running a regular newsletter (weekly or monthly) so they get used to receiving email from you. Plus this can earn extra income from sponsors.

yes, there provided their email and many other stuff including aim and etc. so it won't be considered spam?
