I am intending to purchase a word/word.info domain that receives 550,000 exact keyword searches per month and paying $1.30 a click on google. Is it a fair price to pay $850 for the .info domain?
Any suggestions appreciated.

It could be. Especially if domain get some traffic too. If it is undeveloped, with solid traffic already, and with 550k exact searches than it would be a great buy for $850. My opinion.
It sounds like opportunity to me... I would make sure to check out who my competition is and is this a product related domain or informational topic. Will a .info make sense. Maybe toss it in Estibot for kicks... check google insights for the keyword trend... Call me an optimist, but do quick math on your break even and it's probably a better investment then a savings account. And it is no big deal that is not indexed because most parked sites are not indexed. Once you develop it you can get it going in the search engines.
Personally, I think $850 is quite low if it is a good generic word combo. For example I have a domain AirTravel.info, and I would not let it go for that low. And the CPC on google is about the same, and there are 368,000 monthly searches for the terms: Air Travel.
I would also like to know if a very generic word, for example 'houseprice.com' was trademarked and showing the price of houses, does this mean I can't use the domain 'houseprice.info' to also show the price of houses?
House Price cannot be trademarked in this way I don't think though you would have to ask in the legal section...there is only one way that such a domain could be used...and it is descriptive of its use too.
When someone goes to a domain called "House Price" they are looking for house prices, not a burger bar.
I've moved the thread to .info subforum...and to answer I think for us to give you a fair answer then we must know the domain name. Without this information and the stats you have stated I think it would be a fair deal...but I'm shooting blind here.
