Advice needed - How am I doing?

I am relatively new to domaining and have begun to acquire a few names. I've managed to spend almost $250 already and think its time to slow down a little. Here are the names I acquired. Can you tell me if I'm on the right track to make some money or whether my portfolio is a bunch of **** !!

Any good names stand out here?

you put some domains twice there

i'll say there are some good domains some are brandable domains in there...

i think the .info's were sort of useless unless you are planning to hold it for couple of years and wait for the value to go high

I'll take it a little slowly from this point on and try to sell these domains and be a little more patient ...

Also try to develop couple of the domains to get the higher value...

Since you are new my advice dont panic if you did not sell any of your domain in a certain time because sometimes it takes time to get a right end-user buyer

Thanks for the input. I paid the most for the 3char.biz's so I hope I can sell those for a little profit perhaps sometime in the future as values go up.

I think the newbie gets hung up on making $$$ fast but I suppose one should be thinking long term investment rather than quick profit.

Yes it is so easy to get carried away when you first start lol.

I agree some very nice names in there. I dont know what you have paid for LLL.biz but with $250 for all, think you will make a nice profit :imho:

taking time is almaost always the best strategy.

I keep a log of ideas and then improve and improve the names before even starting to check if avail. Then I am ready with a bunch of options and reg the best avail.

You will look back and laugh at some of those - if not before - when renewals come up. Make sure you only reg 1 year at the time and never check auto renew. I have had a few that got renewed by mistake.

letting bad newbie domains expire feels surprisingly good.

Looks like you have a good start. Develop a couple of them and park the rest (until you have time to develop them).

Thanks for all the encouragement. I'm researching how I develop some of the domains ...hosting, webpages, etc. No doubt this is going to consume my spare time for a long while....better warn the girlfriend!

Once you start developing, you won't even have time to eat let alone have a girlfriend. :hehe:

Good portfolio so far. Definitely should fetch well over your investment of $250.
