Hi there, I have an Adult Domain Name that has been receiving 100-200 unique visitors a month while parked and gets a ton of clicks with an average CTR of 75% or more based on the past 6 months however I have only earned $2.56

I'm slowly getting familiar with Domain Name Parking, I actually hit a jackpot (i guess?) with a domain that's hitting $100+ a day in revenue (spent a total of $0.50 to acquire it), but the CTR and amount of clicks/traffic is WAY less than this particular Domain Name, and I am very curious how I can be generating more money with this Adult Domain Name I am posting about.

It's a 6 letter domain name **porn.com

I've heard many many times that Adult Domains do not generate much with Domain Parking, but getting 10 clicks a day and $0.01 in revenue makes me feel I'm doing something very wrong?

All replies appreciated in advance, thank you!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I am not Fan of nor support nudity or anything related to Adult.
My humble Advice is concentrate on hitting more jackpots like you have already done as mentioned, instead of thinking about this adult domain.

:) :) on a good note.

I could not agree with you more. I am not a fan either, nor do I promote it. However, I acquired this domain specifically to resell it (investment) and had no intentions to ever develop it. But while it is parked, as I wait for the sale, I would like to optimize it for maximum revenue.

I am just the landlord, I am not the tenant.
Your reply was quite interesting, thank you.

Zaki,

Are you culturally against it? Why should he stay clear?

speaking on parking terms.
i do not think you can make money with this adult name. 0.01 is a very good cpc for a adult name.

where u have parked this ?
there are one or two parking sites good for adult sites gives good cpc.

ezcoms- everyone have their likes n dislikes. and if we think the other way it doesnt feel good making money selling nudity via parking when there are lots of other niches apart from adult.. waiting to pe picked up by domainers....so just my way of seeing this.

10 cent Adult click payment:

Look at it this way. If you were on the other end, that is paying for adult traffic. Would you want to pay 20 cents a click(the parking company needs to make money too) For kids (ill say 18+) wanting to look at boobies with no intent to buy anything from who knows what country? 20 cents a click expense adds up real fast in the adult surf all night world. This is why Adult traffic can be lame.

ak91342 - As somebody who runs a parking company, and who allows adult domains, unless your traffic is all from China, you should be making more than $2.56. There are certain countries in the world that do not allow adult traffic, China and India are two of them.

note ...china n india are worlds top two most populated country and when not counting them means you lost 3 billion audience. although out of them less will be internet users....

Some Adult domains in specific niches have around 0.20 USD on average per click. Try Bodis, you could get up to 0.50 USD per click and there are templates which improve CTR.

I agree with decades80. Here's a little quote from a Bodis' review:
At first glance, Bodis doesn’t exactly look like a parking company. The page looks pretty professional. You look around the site, read the words “Revolution in Domain Parking” and then you realize what Bodis.com exactly does. The first thing you’d think of doing on the site if you weren’t a member would probably be to click “Take A Tour.“ So let’s click it. Right away you can see two examples of the domain parking landing pages with Bodis.com. The first one is a customized view. You can choose the colors you want, keywords on the left side bar, add a customized picture, and even add your own content.

Yeah I would suspect it could be intl traffic as Donny proposed. Or you have it setup with the wrong keywords. Some keywords just dont pay anything.

If you are using domainsponsor, they provide country stats. Not exactly sure where to find that information on the other companies.

Also you should try to change your keyword to a higher paying one. Something related but with higher paying ads.

And try Parkingcrew too, adult template and average CPC 0.03 USD in free tube niche.

Donny, over 45% of the traffic is coming from the United States, however I the next top 2 traffic sources are from China and India (strange?). Although most of the traffic is from the states, I am guessing the clicks are coming from other countries?

I thank all of those who have replied, once again.

The other question is whether the domain is banned by Google or Yahoo or whoever you are using. So the domain may be going to their secondary providers as well.
