Just a little observation.

"AdSense" is clearly Google's trademark (check USPTO).
You would think they would turn inside out to get adsense.com.
Think again. www.adsense.com is a small consulting company is the middle of nowhere.
Google either (a) doesn't care or (b) lost the case. Both scenarios seem to be equally unlikely.
Can anyone shed some light?

It looks like adsense.com was registered in Feb 1997 long before Google came into existance (google.com registered in sep 1997) or became the monster it is today. Just because a billion dollar company picks a name, it doesn't mean the existing owner of a name has to fork it over. I think there was a recent lawsuit over froogle.com which existed before Googles froogle, but I forgot who won.

Well if those Adsense people had some guts they'd take on google. Wouldn't that be a turnaround? A little guy taking on a big company over a name dispute!!!

Not gunna happen....

I guess the "little guy" gets a bunch of type-ins (and some business) courtesy of Google and they're happy with it.
The real twist would've been if they had Ads by Goooooogle running on their site.

Uh oh, looks like this might turn out to be a similar case to Nissan.com if google pursues it at some point.

With Froogle.com it looks like Google won because if you go to freegle.com it goes to google's froogle. I am suprised that Google hasen't offered the owner of www.adsense.com a large sum of money to get it. It isn't like Google can't afford it :)
