since geocities is owned by yahoo, ypn will be all over geocities (actually the whole right column - frames contains ypn ads) so to answer your question it's not permitted by google adsense policies to do that.

it still is competing services so google will close your adsense account.

i didn't know you can pay for geocities and the ads will be gone? still geocities since it's start has reputation of free hosting so it's not good for serious web owners.
