Adding Popups to site?

I want to add a popup to my site to generate more income.

At the moment im geting 1000s of visitors and the rewards back are not great. Plus my bandwidth is going through the rough because its a site dedicated to free LEGAL audio downloads.

I know people hate popups, but im offering a service thats free and unique to people, so i dont think they'd mind 1 popup.

Whats the best and most reliable to use?

My suggestion would be don't add pop-ups to your site even if you are offering a free, unique service to the people, pop-ups are really annoying and they can drive away some percentage of your site's traffic. Instead of that opt for banner and skyscraper ads and PPC ads.
