It would be nice in the marketplace if there was a way to edit the title to add a simple [SOLD] prefix to help end a sale. It would help in a variety of ways for buyers and sellers. Possibly a checkbox when you edit to add the prefix would work.

Just an idea...it would add to the unique experience that NP already offers us.

I would advise against folks being able to edit their own Marketplace™ threads Jesse, IMHO ... a better alternative may be that Staff™ close the threads that are no longer active, etc.

Just from prior experience. :gl:

Well it wouldn't be an edit edit...we can already edit marketplace posts. I think it's just auctions that aren't editable.

Also there is that tag image "for sale" on the right of each thread. Maybe that could be changed to a red SOLD image?

See I think this would help to find active deals threads and allow SOLD threads to move down quicker. That can only help sales. Heck take it one step further and moved SOLD threads to a subforums of the marketplace.

The entire process could easily be automatted.

I understand your logic, Jesse ... and it could be automated, as you suggest! :gl:

Thread titles cannot be edited, though posts within them can be ... I'd still favor Staff™ retaining control over these types of "edits" (for instance, changing the tag images (good suggestion)) or closing the thread to preserve its contents, IMHO. :talk:

Nice to hear all suggestions here, as I'm simply going by my prior experiences ... humbly. :)

It could be done by using the [resolved] system, I assume. Only us team members and the OP would be able to click 'Mark as sold' - Also have it close the thread.

Nice idea, maybe RJ could try to implement it.
