I am selling my half of a free webhost I started with a partner in late april of 2006. The website is forum based and has custom software that deals with all of the hosting requests.The host is a post to host site, completely automated. There are a set range of plans the users signup and they can then post when they reach the required amount of posts the users account upgrades to that package. Simple but very unheard of. This allows the site to run itself. There are many anti spam messasures in place I can go into further with serious bidders.
The site offers other services, for example free .ej.am domains. Which can be used almost as real domains. They can be pointed to an ip (of a nameserver) which can then use the sub-domain on there site. Making it almost as good as a real free domain.
The Site gets heavy traffic the amount of uniques has doubled in the last month. The site has recieved next to no advertising in about 2-3 months. The site has only recieved the odd post on freewebspace.net the rest is word of mouth. The site everyday without fail recieves 10+ new members usually more. With a little advertising the site could boom through the roof!
The site makes around $60/m through google adsense, Adsense does not pay great for free hosts anymore. The clicks are monitored through a script, making them all "legal" so the account is very likely to be banned. These costs all go toward the server costs which is slightly higheer then that. The site has recieved no monetising and no other ways of finding revenue have been tried due to time restraints. Systems like YPN, azoogle etc would work wonders on this site.
I havent had the time to work on the site in months therefore leaving it to go slightly to seed, growth could be much higher with a little work.
The sale is for My half of the site, 50% of the site will become yours after the sale. You will get to work along side the other owner who I will introduce you to. At current he handles all server maintenance and control.
I am open to all offers at current. I am looking for offers around high $xxx to mid $xxxx.
The site has HUGE potential it just needs to be given to someone who has the time and effort to do so.
