Hello.

I would like to get an appraisal for the domain aCoder .com (keyword "a coder")
I'm thinking about developing it into freelance project or forum, but i would like to know how much this domain worth or may be some ideas for developing this name.

I'd personally say low $xxx, or high $xx. The 'a' prefix isn't particularly good (given that it actually exists in words as a literal prefix with a meaning, such as 'theist' and 'atheist' -- essentially meaning 'without'). From that perspective, it's not particularly good. Further still, the fact that you feel the need to camelcode the name (aCoder instead of acoder) further alludes to this: the "acoder", non-camelcased spelling isn't particularly clear in the separation of the words 'a' and 'coder' -- also evident in the pronunciation. Another reason is the diversity of websites related to coding -- you want memorable, brand-able names such as 'daniweb' or 'catswhocode', not 'acoder'.

But I can't agree with you. English is not my native language but as far as I know the prefix "a" means "one" and is used widely. Just check google with "a coder" query...
Another moment: is this domain name brand-able or not? One of the biggest freelance programmers project has the name "RentACODER.com"...

In any case I'm thankful for your opinion and looking for more appraisals.

Tobias is correct. In English, the a- prefix means "no, absence of, without, lack of, not".

a-, an- + (Greek: a prefix meaning: no, absence of, without, lack of, not).

That's not to say this isn't a nice name, though. I think it would make a great personal site for a coder. However, I don't think it would sell for more than mid $xx to a reseller, especially in this market.
