Lately the albanian domains .al are open to the albanian firms and individuals, but not to the foreigners because of the “Sun-Rise Periode”.
I want to ask here what the domainers think about this domain, and how worth may be these domains in the future, especially the premium ones?

Regards

Thats the same question I'm asking my self about ".si" names. Like all new TLD, the value of the extension is not going to be high immediately following open public registration. I think, however, if you get a chance to reg a few premium names, do so and keep sitting on them for a while.

Only time will tell how valuable .al, or any extension for that matter, will become and having premium names under that extension is your best bet when/if it does take off.

I'm following my own advice. I regged rebate.si, rebates.si, img.si, name.si

All are good key words and I would reg more if my budget wasn't tight.

As a ccTLD I think the value of the TLD is somewhat linked to the purchasing power of the population, which is still low. I would also take into account the Internet penetration rate, prevalence of broadband and E-commerce etc.
IMO it will take time for .al to catch up with other European extensions.
