A free IPB forum?

wanted to start a small community but couldn't find a resource on where I can find a free IPB forum. any recommendations?

IPB is not free anymore but I guess u can use version 1.3 which WAS free... can PM me.

Don't forget though that you can't distribute 1.3, although it WAS free, it's no longer free :blink:

I doubt your allowed to distribute IPB 1.3.1 and under even though it used to be free..

yah, i use phpbb to, i tried simple machines, but didnt like it.theres only one thing i dont like about phpbb and thats that you cant have subforums

There is an addon that allows you to have subcategories...

I'll second the recommendation for Simple Machines. SMF has a nice community around it and the development group has momentum going. We're running it in trial for several sites.... it sure isn't IPB 2.x or VB 3.x though. A good alternative and free.
