888 is a VERY lucky number for the Chinese.

Does anyone here have it in their domain names? What sort of traffic are you getting? Where are you getting it from?

69 is a sex position where two. people reverse themselves to perform oral sex simultaneously on each other.

That's for the hopefully small number of people who didn't know.

P.S.: Please don't ban me :P.

I didn't realise I had to reverse myself. Thanks for the tip.

Although 888 means lucky, I don't think a lot websites will include that in their domain name. It makes the website looks not professional. No big sites use such names. Also, not easy to brand.
You obviously didn't pick up the point I was making. The numbers 888 have special significance to the Chinese.

barefoottech has 888pokerplay.com. Developed correctly and directly marketed at the Chinese community = $BLING$

My personal taste would be against it too, but you've got to look outside your own preferences and see how some things have huge cultural differences.

i have similar question. if all 1-800 , or 800 are taken, and now there are more toll free phone numbers available like 866 or 888. is this worth to register upfront of one word domains?

I believe 8 in Chinese sounds like wealth, that is why 888 is favo/ured by the Asians.

888.com was sold by the Chinese owner, not too many years ago, to the company that now runs 888.com probably the most successful casino website on the internet.

I own 888Blog.com - seeking a wealthy Chinese entrepreneur who wants to Blog about his /her money etc :)

some domainers have a big down on hyphens in number domains, but its better than mine (88-88.org)

so you think the - in our names really kills it? I know its definately not a typo for 888.com since its 3 keys away and who makes a typo on a name like that. hehe

888 plus pokerplay is for sure a good name. Since wealth and pokerplay are highly correlated. Its the correlation plays. :)
