What do you guys think about this one ? How much is a fair valuation ?

A really tough one to evaluate with certainty.

Pros:

1. 888 is a great number (esp China)
2. 888 has sold for large amounts both in several country codes (e.g. $20,000 in .ca $10,000 in .mx and multiple others)
3. It also has solid record of sales in new extensions (e.g. $ 7500 in .club and $2800 in .link). It even sold for more than $1kin .mba extension.
4. While sales record is very limited, the one sale in NameBio (for word html) is for good value $1414
5. GoValue have your name valued at more than $2000.
6. It is potentially versatile.

Cons:

1. The .codes extension has a very limited sales record (one on NameBio, couple more in $$ range on DNPric.es).
2. The .codes extension is not well known or heavily used.
3. The name 888codes is available to hand register today in .com and .co (among others).
4. While versatile, the name is not particularly valued (that I can see) by a particular company.

The absence of many sales in an extension do not necessarily mean that a big sale is not possible (although they argue that it is perhaps not probable) - e.g. see this post re times when it has happened. Today I notice that a .run sold, the first sale ever in that extension.

I could see it not selling, or going for something lowish $$$$. I suspect the most likely price, if it sells, is something in $$$ range. Good luck with it!
