Hi Guys,

I own jumeirahresorts.com

Jumeirah Beach is where the 7 star Burj al arab is in Dubai. The domain jumeirah.com is owned by the htoel itself. Jumeirah beach is rapidly expanding and will continue to be the worlds premier resort location. I have recently had a business associate pass the word around Dubai and I am in communication with a few firms in Dubai regarding this domain. So far, no one has mentioned price, only that they need to communicate with their marketing directors and get back to me, which is due in the next few days. I have 4 firms who have said the same / similar thing.

Just wondering where I should start the consideration when they do get back to me? I am thinking of ordering a premium appraisal through sedo before I sell it, Or perhaps should I let sedo negotiate this for me?

If anyone could steer me in the right direction, please let me know, either by pm or email.

[email protected]

Cheers and have a good day,

Aaron

Looking forward to receive good sale news from you!

IMHO, it may have some value to the right company but won't be alot.

Anyway, good luck! Sometimes the end user may pay you madly!

From experience with doing business with the saudis - whatever you're thinking of asking, add a zero or two to that price... so after you get that briefcase full of cash, you owe me dinner for the tip! ;)

Saudis? Dubai is an emirate in UAE. Nice name you have Globefrog, keep us updated how it goes. I think you are on the good way, although it could be early to sell, but if you find the right enduser, then its fine.. You just shouldnt be in a hurry to sell.

yes, it's next to Saudi Arabia - I was referring to the oil money and government sponsored tourism industry development.

I agree with tetrapak - it's early days for selling and that is a very nice name that could be used to promote all the resorts planned for both Jumeirah area and the Palm Jumeirah ie: Atlantis

The perfect end user for that one would be Jumeirah Hotels for sure ;)

I have a few Jumeirah related names including JumeirahDubai_com but I intend to hold for a few years until the tourism market gets red hot - it also gives me time to maybe develop some of them !!!

Good Luck with it :)

I'd hold on to it unless you're broke. A friend of mine just returned from there and said that there's tons of real-estate development going on. In fact he had a photo that showed at least 6 of those huge construction cranes looming over some coastal area. Let your market evolve. It should only get better. Best of luck regardless!

Def ad a zero or two to the end.
I have been to that hotel, i don't think the market will "mature" as its only one hotel.... but a heck of a hotel it is. It is probably as it stands THE major hotel in dubai, and the real estate it is on is perhaps the most expensive area in dubai and the business it does is huge. There are a few "resorts" around jumeriah though, all in the suburb of jumeria, i think you should contact them to tell them how their competitor up the road wants this name.

If they come back with a counter offer that is quite high I would suggest even flying out there since of the geographical nature of the domain.

the jumeriah strip of resorts must be the most valuable patch of resort land in the world at the moment.

I have no idea of the value, I am not an experienced domainer, but I can tell you the above is all true.

saying this, i have spoken from my knowledge only. maybe if you asre expecting alot of money it could be worth while to scout out dubai yourself.

ps.domain999, don't try and fudge it. people in dubai are known as emiratis (if they are locals)...

Thanks guys. Yeah when I was in Dubai in July (hottest month) I heard that by 2012 they want to have 400 hotels there!

This bit is not exactly correct - they own at least 7 major hotels in dubai + wildwadi waterpark and other hotels elsewhere - ie: London

There are also "about" 40 top class hotels being built on Palm Jumeirah.

I think I got it wrong too :hehe:

"Palm Jumeirah will contain over 25 of the top international hotel brands including Movenpick, Antara, Fairmont, Radisson SAS, Hilton, Metropolitan," ...

yeah, thats not true, thanks for correction.

what i meant was there is only one "Jumeriah Beach Hotel" (unless i am mistaken?! dubai has changed alot in 2 years!)

but there are many resorts on jumeriah beach...

i would wait unleast untill jumeriah palm is completed (is it complete yet?)
