4 number .nets - Worth it-?

Recently I've registered (4) 4 number .nets but I'm wondering is that a wise investment for the future?

There are a limited supply of these, of course ... so that could/should help support pricing, generally IMHO. If any of them have some type of specific sequential meaning, significance, etc. that would be another item that may add some value.
Overall, however, at this point ... more or less "random" .NET's of this category have limited upside, in my view ... again, time, scarcity, and specifics could change this.
Just my two sense.

I've got more than a handful of 4 number .net's and .org's , and I've posted some in the expired forum also.
My personal take is this:
As I mentioned earlier, I've never had a 4 number .net that hasn't paid for itself in parking ( 7125.net registered about a month ago, already $10 in parking, not a bad ROI ). This is mostly because all 4 number .net's were previously held by someone (Evidence: They are all gone now, and they've all been gone before) so you have built in backlinks typically. A lot of the 4 number .net's were held by asian owners, so the traffic might not be the best ( 5725.net gets a ton of uniques, but mostly poor traffic )who can't read the parking page
They are relatively rare, with less than 9,000 available to begin with.
It is true that I cherry-pick for 4 number combos that are good years or have a lot of 5's and 0's in them (Easy to remember, money combos, etc.), but so far I've been pleased. I don't remember ever selling any 4 number .net's (yet ), but compared to some of my other purchases, based on ROI they're doing just dandy

I'm just back from a trip to China, and you would not believe the amount of only-number URLs that i seen (neon lights - 10 foot tall!). Honestly, on every night club, casino and bar it's 9889.net or 69091.com - the net being the most popular.

I asked about it, and apparently some numbers are considered really lucky in China, and also there's a trend of using the actual phone number as the URL.

I can only assume the values will pick up as the numbers run out, and as China becomes more "entangled" in the web

Hopefully, the censorship will end too, but that's another thread entirely...

Since they're so popular in China, there is probably some upside to the NNNN .net's. Even if you're unable to make a huge profit from them, you should make some money just from parking them.

But (little "but" here), don't forget the traffic is a) chinese and b) not likely to click through as it is true 404 traffic and not type-in topic.
