3Dstudio max n00b request

Hi
i am really new in 3DSM ; and need some really easy help...
i just got a logo done in 3DSM, but euhm... *ashamed* cant change the color
i need to change a piece of green to some lighter green...
anyone who can do this for me? ( preferred for free because it is probl. not that difficult )

Press "M" that will open the materials editor. Then just change the diffuse color of the first one and drag it to the object.

but euh...
how do i now publish the image? so its a .gif or .jpg, or .png , or ... ?

and how can i export it to flashMX to add some flash effects ( like turning around ), and keeping the 3D effect ( so not importing a jpg or gif, cause this wont give me "depth" in the image...)

press F9 to render out ur last artwork

if u wan to save ur arkwork to jpg, press F12 , and save that files on somewhere else .. and press " render "

that's it .. make sure make it more higher that 800 x 600 because in 3dS max, there is none of the DRI setting .. the only way u have to make it bigger and screw to smaller ..

if u wish to get some 3d flash , i think u have to switch to Swift3D or plasma

Dude, get a good 3dsmax book!

I've been using 3dsmax for 6 yrs fulltime and almost every week I'm STILL going back to the book!!
