I don't ask for appraisals very often but I'm a little unsure of this one as it's a fairly new technology now but over the next few years will probably become a lot more common in a wide range of applications.

Here's a little about the subject

https://www.interaction-design.org/encyclopedia/3d_user_interfaces.html

In February 2012 Apple got a patent regarding 3D interface technology and in late 2013 Microsoft filed a patent regarding a new 3D interface.

The ultimate 3D interface would be some Minority Report stuff if you ever saw that movie.

Also what do you think would be a good strategy for this domain. Sell whenever or wait a couple years.

You're in a similar position to me in that we both registered domain names that we should probably hold onto till the technology becomes more commercially known. Having said that, I'm still trying to sell one of these domains and hold onto to the rest when I think they could be worth a lot between now and 2015. Basically all this stuff is like playing the lottery. In my case I got at registration price a bunch of 3DVR (3D Virtual Reality) domains basically cause a company called Oculus Rift has been making breakthroughs that should revolutionize the technology. I registered 3DVRAPP.com, 3DVRSoftware.com, 3DVRGAMING.COM & 3DVR.Technology. I kind of made it a rule not to register anything but a .COM but in this case as this is a technology, I thought I'd take a flyer on .technology as it is more than related.
