3d studio max 6

Hello ,

I am learning 3d studio max 6 by my own , and i need your guys help ...

I am currently doing this tutorial :

From this tutorial , I am not able to get step 3

3 - Right click any arc and convert it to an editable spline, go then to the Modify tab and select Vertex then after that click the attach button then select the other arc and then click connect.

can anybody explain me this in detail ?

I guess you just have to increase your graphic vocabulary and get familiar with all the concepts before you start with this.
