Yeah I guess the new tld goldrush is on again. I surely have no idea what sticks. I still think .infos have value and yet the world likes .org better. I'm still not a big fan of .net but it obviously has some merit.
The smart money isnt sharing their knowledge with us.
There are more domainers and domains than there are needed websites at this point. The big search engine carries a lot of weight, and the next biggest player...isnt that strong in my opinion, a social company. The average person, well tons of them think there is only one search engine or that if you cant BLANK it then the website doesnt exist.
All domains are one of a kind, and that can have a wide range from worthless to I found an insane enduser.
The best money seems in decent under priced .coms but well no one can decide what anything is worth. .ca still has decent names, heard good things about people in other country extensions. If I was going to bet on unregged names, Id bet on .us For me I would rather have a great .us than a decent .net
Please dont take my awful advice, and I'm sure not buying them because not enough capital to bet on them and keep until they catch on. Good .info and .us make the most sense to me as a US domainer, but do I know, (as fair as awesome buys, but tough to sell).
The big money is already got most of the great .coms and honestly best case is we wash out a lot of domainers and the ones that are left start...making a bit more sense.
Because it is such a young market, still tons of money to be made if you are right, but it sure is tough. Plus we still have yet to see the government really come into the net and they will, and domains in the court systems are just starting. Their calls of late have BEEN AWFUL.
Lot of changes coming over the next few years. Tons of money will be made and lost.
