30 mW Green Laser Question

Anyone know if it's legal to import a 30 mW Green Laser into the US without an IR filter?

I'd like to buy one of these to play with, but as they don't come with an IR filter, I'm wondering about the legality/potential problems.

It's made in china, which means no IR filter, harsher customs inspections, probably going to lose it if the German police find it at CeBIT, and even if you do end up actually receiving it, you'll be lucky if it functions as indicated for more than a few days.

I ordered one that shipped from China a few months ago that had no problems getting over to the US.
