I don't own one but I guess I don't have any choice, might be the trend if you lose opportunity securing a 1 or 2 word domain.

that's a good one, since real estate companies will not resist being on TV

3 word names

Besides domains I also do some pen making and laser engraving.

My web sites are

WoodPenMan.com

TopLinePens.com

and

LaserImageArts.com

These are not for sale as I use them for my small business of making wood pens and doing laser engraving.

People seem to like them and easily remember them so I am happy with these 3 word names.

They work good for me.

If any mod thinkd this is to much of an ad, just delete it and sorry for the misuse. But I was just showing how some 3 word domains work in real life.

Nothing wrong with 3 word .COM domains, as long as they are good word combinations and descriptive. Examples: CheapWebHosting, FreeCreditReport... these are quality domain names, especially for develoment and SEO. I would rather have a solid 3 word .COM than a shorter domain in some goofy extension like .asia or .mobi

I have a bunch. As long as they name makes sense I like them. The idea that people can't type in 3 words is silly to me. Also, most traffic to a domain comes from links on other sites and search engines so it doesn't matter how long the name is.

I agree, as long as it makes sense i dont see a problem with longer domains , besides as time goes by , the good ones will be recognized for what they are i suspect
