Stats.Name Name Statistics. The ultimate portal for name stats. Domain Name marketing friendly, but good for general interst as well. OV: 13,512 G: 28,100,000
Ids.Name No 2 letter .name domains. OV : 9,932 G:4,670,000
Tags.Name OV: 23,931 G: 11,400,000

All 3 read are plural and read better by reversing word order, but thematically they fit. Started to think about pluraliztion and realized the same rule (readability, sound) would generally hold true for other tld's as well. ie. (Com)mercial Stats or Stats Commercial? IDs (Net)work or Network IDs? Info Tags or Tags Info?

Not a fan of the new.net TLDs. Unfortunately I would have to agree with cmos on this one... $0 for all of them.

Haven't had oppurtunity to test, but believe that was one of the .name selling points, at least, when first offered only as Third level domain.
Not a fan of the new.net TLDs. Unfortunately I would have to agree with cmos on this one... $0 for all of them.

If you are talking about the DN's requiring a plug-in, this is not one of them. My .names that are parked, come right up on IE. I made the decision to get into the the "lesser" tld, sld, and cc domains, based on my gut instinct that they will have a future and because good names are still available. If, and when, they come into their own, I think it is safe to say that the rewards won't come anywhere near what .com was/is for those who got in early w/ .com tld.

I think that names w/ good keywords are worthwhile, regardless of ext, so I don't see my choice as being an out and out gamble.
Am certainly glad I got into .info when I did, because the tld appears to be getting some legs at the moment. I don't think .names have much immediate reseller value now, but know for a fact I could sell some of mine now (which I'm not inclined to do), at reg fee plus a couple of bucks. So, a $0 appraisal, IMO, is more of a means for an appraiser to express a strong negative opinion about a name (or, in this case, a tld, considering some of the keywords), then it has to do with objective fact.

It's all cool, however, just swimmin around in different parts of the pool and seein different things. I'm happy w/ my .names, and don't expect too much excitement over the tld. Like to see what other people are picking up, so only fair to put mine out there, as well.:D

Don't worry about it, Mike. cmos expressed a dislike for a lot of names the past 24 hours - check out all the big fat 0$'s on the other appraisal threads. So its not just .name, per se, that he critiqued, but all sorts of tld's.

Anyway, I believe you'll have lots of takers for your names at reg fee. But the fair value for these at the wholesale level would have to be somewhere in the mid-$XX. I specially like stats.name. Good luck!

TX Armstrong. I guess we all have our days. Usually have, or at least, like to maintain, a fairly positive/optimistic outllook regarding the potential for a good percentage of the names (w/ and w/o dot) that come up on the boards (w/ obvious exceptions).
I have yet to see a list of recent sales where I am not surprised by a name or two that went. (This tends to reinforce my positive oultook, hehe). I don't take appraisals personally or, is sometimes the case, too seriously. Just find it necessary to clear the air once in awhile. When somebody takes a misguided dump on someones domain name decision, most of it lands back on them, not on the name or the owner.

Wow, a lot of confusion about .name domains right now -- one person thinks .name is as fake as .xxx (it's not!), others are confused if email works (it does for all .name's).

Yikes! Someone do a publicity campaign!

To me they have to work just like any other ext., Domain.Name Website.Name Kids.Name First.Name etc...

Stats.Name seems to work the best of the 3 to me...
