Ok, does it make more sense to you now than it did the first time? Probably not much if at all - or it didn't to me.
I wouldn't put much stock in "brandable" for this set of names, as it doesn't easily roll when spoken and sounds like Scottish.
It doesn't immediately pass the radio test.
The partly cloudy side of these domains is that scotch is recognizable, and leaves no question about what these domains are about.
I wouldn't go any higher below reg fee for the set.
Ask random people - "Hey, what do you think of the domain scotchish.com?"
If they say "What was the name?" then you will understand.
Scotchland.net on the other hand is a little better. I would give it a low to mid $xxx end user pricetag. Prolly not going to get anywhere near that from a reseller. Get a hold of the .com owner and see if he is selling - the name isn't being used for anything relevant to scotch.
