I understand that you can only have 6 total adsense ads (3 link units + 3 regular ads) per page, but can you also add other advertisements from different affiliates such as CJ, clickbank, etc in addition to those 6 ?

Yes The 6 Ad limit is the MAXIMUM of google ads.
However remember it is often better to have LESS rather than more ads .
Sites with less than 3 ad units often Make higher income than those
3 or more. Optimum Ad placement and Relevant content result in more income.

You can put any other ad in pages with adsense on it, as long as the other ads do not look similar to adsense ads.

Also, you can have 3 ad units + 3 link units + 2 search boxes on a single page.

Try to avoid creating pages just full of ads. You need to balance them with good contents.

Putting ads from other ad networks would result a CTR drop in AdSense ads. So I don't think its a great idea.

Try having less number of ads. It will result in higher income and focus mainly on ur where U place ur ads. Havn't heard good reviews about other PPC sites. So I stick with Adsense only.
