I'm thinking of selling 26Q.com, a NNL.com. I know from www.3character.com that NNL's average around $120. It received about 4 uniques on SEDO in a day or two -- not much to gloat about. Question: If I were to sell this, what would a close figure be? Could I expect $200? $250? $400? Any guesses?

Edit: I've decided to let the market dictate the selling price so I listed it on eBay with a no-reserve $0.99 starting bid. Let's see where it goes. Ends 3/28/07

Name is good. Could stand for 26 questions. $140 is probably in the right ballpark for this domain. But if you can find the right buyer than that value shoots up.

Thanks :) Reps added.

I've seen some 3 char .com's sell on SEDO for quite a bit. Several shot to 200+ Euros (I'm in the US, using $'s). That got me wondering about this. I'm considering selling this but being a NNL (and I've seen LLN's sell well), I'm not too sure what to expect. I think the numbers are nice (and they're even -- that might not help a lot) and Q is a letter that's not as frequently used as say, A or E, but has a lot of words associated with it. So 3character.com's $120 base price seems a little low for 26Q.com. But I really dunno, hence this thread. :)

First and foremost I want to point out that 3Character.com is no longer accurate, and hasnt been for some time. The honest truth is that CCC.com's are picking up some major steam in just the last couple of months. Here is a list of some recent NNL.com's

52H.com $900.00 02/05/07 AfterNic
49j.com $160.00 01/25/07 SnapNames
61n.com $143.00 02/15/07 SnapNames
74y.com $116.00 01/22/07 SnapNames

You'll notice if you remove the $900 dollar sale from the list, the median value is right around $150. With the added value of a potential meaning behind your domain name, I could see even better. Now, as of Late Ived Noticed some of the larger players buying into the CCC.com, people/companies like Bonkers on snap names.

To be honest, I would hold onto your domain name for atleast another several months. Towards Nov of this year I believe youll see the value jump to approximately $250-325 for your domain name.

Just my 2 Cents.

I've seen a 3 character that sells a different price in different week. For instance I saw LLN.com for $120 and the following week another LLN.com for $180 and the characters weren't apart from one another. I guess it's all about timing.

Thanks -- reps added.

I was never too keen with 3character.com but I used it as a base for my domain's value. $120 didn't quite sound right for a NNL.com but anyway, I know there have been some good CCC sales -- see http://dnsaleprice.com but it's just hard for me to pin anything on this. If I put it up for sale, I wanna know what I could reasonably expect.

You could see it right now for $125

I am selling an NNL (04z.com) for $125 on here. I know the price is low, but it's a fair value. This is the price expectation I would expect now for 26q.com. Its average value a year from now could double depending on upcoming trends. Speculation about future meanings will inflate prices too.

I get a number of interesting matches for 26q.com in google images. Perhaps one of the people who labeled their pictures with 26q will pay $200 or $300.

In all honesty you are selling below reseller value. Please dont use 3Character.com as an actual price guide, the site is out of date, it was practically out of date when it was put up. Sedo seems to be a smart place right now to part with 3 Character domain names. I would recommend selling there. I also believe 26q is also a much stronger NNL.com and like I said, this market is just picking up, wait 4-6 months for your own sake!

Personally, from what I've heard, 26Q.com seems a little above average for a NNL.com. I'm thinking it could get around $200-250 as-is but that's just a thought. I think I'll go ahead and put it on sale & see what I can get.

Thanks for these figures. There are different selling prices for LNN, LLN, NNL, NLL, LNL and NLN. And remember that because 1 and l plus o and 0 look so similar, domains with them are generally lower in selling price. 26Q is easier on the eyes than 0J9 or P1F so surely 26Q.com should net over $200.

The Bazaar and eBay are full of low-paying domainers looking a cheap investment. I don't think I want to go that route.

Anyway: I posted 26Q.com for sale. Let's see how it fares. http://www.namepros.com/domains-for-sale-make-offer/301576-lll-mobi-nnl-com-llll-com.html

It's true 26Q is easier to remember. When timing is right you definitely could sell that around $200

(I'll accept offers for it -- send me a PM if interested)

I'd say that you could get offers somewhere between $150 - $250 for this name.

It's the same as with properties: The price of such domains will rise, sooner or later. That's a fact. There's also another fact with domains: The price will never going down. Maybe you have to wait a long time, but the price grows 100% (fast or slow, high or low, that are other questions)

That ebay listing will probably get you to $250.00 but thats one I'd probably hang on to. The 3 character domains N or L are increasing in value every month and at this rate it should be too long before it's worth more than $350 on ebay.

Just a few months ago I noticed some 3 character domains going for $80 - 120 now going for 140 + hang on to it and park it but thats my 2 cents. and I'm still new to this business.

Good Luck,

Chapel

Thanks for your words of advice. I would hold onto this but my finances are a bit screwy. As I've mentioned in past posts, I have a moderate loan to repay. I plan to pay it off in about a month and once I do, I'll be pretty much broke. So I need some extra cash ASAP so my bank account won't run dry once I repay the stupid loan off :|
