So, as I search for new creative domains,
and also try to apply a little homework with my searches...
How about this?

I am searchng some pretty hot 3-worder's.
I type it into a Google search.
Here is some of the google search numbers, of ones I'm looking at tonight.

6,340,000 for xxx
15,100,000 for xxx
7,780,000 for xxx
24,200,000 for xxx
5,590,000 for xxx
24,300,000 for xxx
12,100,000 for xxx
36,600,000 for xxx

These are some HIGH numbers!
Isn't it a no-brainer, that each and every one of these...
I should register.
Am I off base here, or on target?

I will def. want to resell them eventually,
but want to see how they do on parking first.

Any thoughts?
Thx, in advance.
Red Rock!

Do you put quotes around the search terms like this: "word word word"? If not, the numbers will be artificially high. Also, have you checked google adwords to see how often people search for the particular terms? Good luck!

Not Sure...Mellow.
just tought that if I grabbed something searched for that much,
that meant...it would get abunch of click traffic while parked, or it would be valuable cuz so many ppl. were searching for that specific term.
I guess that's not a good thing?
Thx,

Makes sense.
So, if it is a term used and searched for 5 mil-30mil times,
wouldn't that be the PERFECT name for an end-user?

Lots to consider just some peeps get so wrapped up in google results without looking at the bigger picture :)

It's a HOT service...and describes it very specifically.
I'm thinking that, these results mean it would be a Perfect name
for ppl. who want to offer that service and have a professional
.com name that best describes they're business.
Just my thoughts.?

you are mixing something up.

google results show how often a term appears, not how often a term is searched.

Results can be both good and bad.

If you search google for something like low mortgage rates, you will get a ton of results.

But the likelyness of someone typing in lowmortgagerates.com is a lot lower. You will have some, but not many.

OK,
I understand that, Bulldog.
BUT, If that is a service you want to provide...
and instead of coming up with something like,
Red Rocks Low Mortgage Rates.com
wouldn't an end user value that 3 word term VERY highly?
That is their service, in a nutshell!
Just curious?
Thx

If you look at reported sales, 3 words drop off a lot in price compared to two words. For very very good keywords you will still see some decent sales, like creditreportcheck.com things that people search for a lot (have to check google adwords to confirm) AND that these are very high value search terms related to a particular service people are looking for. LowMortgageRates.com might be a good one too, but something like BestHamburgerDeals wouldn't be probably.

Cool,
so you are kindof supporting my theory...
I have some VERY good 3 word searches.
It sounds like you WOULD register something similar to
Low Mortgage rates then?
that was a great example, Bulldog!

I tend to be very careful around these three word names and I would urge others to as well. I see a lot of people advertising tons of crappy 3-word names and it seems like they didn't think before they bought all of them. I would only buy a few, and make sure they are very high quality. LowMortgageRates.com would probably be good because it is such a high value term and that is basically what people are looking for. But I see people thinking that since LowMortgageRates.com is good, maybe I should also register:

AwesomeMortgageRates.com
SuperDuperMortgageRates.com
OutstandingMortgageRates.com

and so on. I would make sure you are really registering something that people type in a lot and that would convert well to a well-positioned site.

RKB,
thx 4 your input!
I totally agree with you.
I have registered a ton of 3 worders already,
but now I'm trying to do it WITH actual research.
values, Google search #'s, etc.
I'm just trying to do a little homework before going on a registering spree.
I'm sure I have registered a bunch of good ones before,
but now I want to see some numbers before registering.
So, I have about 6 or 7 names I think are awesome.
I am going to register them,
then come back and post them.
I would love anyones feedback on what they think.

Then, if my names give anyone a BETTER idea,
and they register something similar because of seeing the direction I was headed
from reading my thread...
Please post what you registered,
I'm sure these names will inspire someone out there, reading this,
to register something similar, and most likely it il be better than mine.
I just want to hear the ways members register...
the tools they use, or thoughts they have before registering their own domains.
I'm still learning, every day.
Thx Alot.
I'll be back shortly with that list!
Red Rock!
