Can anybody appraise this DE-domain?

Look up Bruce Tedeschi on Facebook. He owns thousands of .de's and has a lot of faith in the extension. If he gives you a crappy answer it's just because he's in a bad mood. Bruce is a nice guy.

Then I would see if you could get an opinion from Rick Latona, et al.

I could only find two sample sales (below), both from Namebio and sedo. But you have to realize, IMO, those sales are the extreme, like getting hit by lightning. So if you have a lot of patience, put it on sedo and let it sit. Also go to the ccTLD discussion and see if you can find some discussion on similar domains.

39.de - $13,464
18.de - $24,585

Why is 20.de better than what 21.de would be, as this has specific casino meaning?

I couldn't even begin to guess, but I am not sure you will see more than high $xxx

Some background info:
The numeric DE-domains were released together with one- and two-letter domains in october 2009. sedo catched a lot of these domains and auctioned it immediately. so there were thousends of domain auctions ending on october 9th 2009. the prices achieved in these auctions were domainer prices and not real market prices for two reasons:
- only limited number of persons could auction in the domains, since:
a) the release of the numeric/short-domains were anounced only 7 days before the release, so the news could reach the responsible persons in big companies and for many financial decisions there wasnt enough time
b) only persons close to the domain industry and secondary market new sedo was going to catch many of these domains and they could auction the domains in this one-time-event at sedo
- since there were thousands of auctions ending at the same time, not every person taking part could auction every domain they wanted, first because they couldnt divide their attention on hundreds of domains, second because of the budget they could organize in this short time.

So the prices above are the minimum prices, cause the domains where bought under these conditions in short term decisions mainly by domainers. the later auctions and sales are the real market evaluations.

so the task ist to apprise the real and domain value now, 7 months after the release and the initial sedo auction.

I personally got already some offers much higher that the price I paid, but I would like hear from the professional sellers what selling price they would accept if they had this domain.

I'd put it on Sedo, Fixed Price. Set the price at what you think it's worth ... or a little higher. If you get some quick bites you'll have a better feel for where you stand. Even with the Fixed Price you can decline the offer.

Thanx for your advise.

I have decided to put this domain on the sedo premium auction after sedo convinced me to do so. The auction is running already and the reserve price has been achieved, so the domain will be sold in any case:

Auktions-Details - Sedo GmbH

Thanx again,
