I'm going for a whole new look for my gift/shopping niche directory website...

The old website can be found here Old Site while a page where I'm messing with the css and logo can be found here Test Page.

I'm looking for a colorful logo that will fit with a variety of color combinations (since I'm still fiddling with the colors). Something integrating a wrapped gift and/or a gift tag (see old logo).

I'm having my taxes done this weekend but I'll try to check in and leave feedback whenever I can with the contest likely ending on April 9th or 10th depending on how long it takes to go over my taxes with my tax guy.

Thanks for the entry webmonkey.

The text should read "Gift Links" with ".org" somewhere or "GiftLinks.org" (all together).

I think colored elements on a white background would be more universally usable though...

The image is 30k, however I can reduce the quality if 10k is necessary (It will look terrible)

First concept:

100% vector and custom-designed. The logo itself is about 8k, but it's obviously larger will all my designer stuff around it :p

cesarian - looking forward to your entry...

umxca - interesting concept! ...try not connecting the "gift" with the "g" in "gift links" and run giftlinks together like it was one word.

will7 excellent design! ...I'm wondering what it would look like if the "GiftLinks" part was a little higher up in relation to the "gift" with the ".org" placed underneath the "GiftLinks" text (right justified). The ".org" part could also maybe be placed within some kind of stylized gift tag.

*I hope what I'm trying to convey doesn't get lost between my mind's eye and the keyboard!

will7 - awesome! But, try shortening the string hanging off of the "k" on the 'gift tag' and tie it off of the bottom of the "s" in GiftLinks instead of wrapping around the end and tieing it off the "k"...

stronge - not quite what I'm looking for but I couldn't quite put my finger on the problem...hence the lack of feedback.

umxca - looking better, I agree that the orginal colors were a tad bright. Can't give much feedback on the revision though at the moment. Have to think about it awhile.

will7 - almost there ...maybe try not connecting the "gift tag" part to the letters at all and see how that looks, or maybe make it appear that the "gift tag" is tied off the bottom of the "s" in "giftlinks".

vanilla afro - another classy entry! I'd prefer a white background, so maybe try swapping out what is currently white with another color and change the background color to white?
