Google for MT 321 000 000
Wordtracker 250 searchs a day for "mt"
The letters MT could be used for TONS of stuff. Including the abbreviation for MT, in english of course... Not german..
Estibot gives me $77,000 I know thats not solid but the highest I have recieved on any of my domains before.

Are you sure it`s .de ? I thought .de did not allow 2 chars...plus they`d worth a treasure.

To be honest I am not sure. I know for sure it let me register it I bought it at namecheap. I hope that it is real, but who knows maybe just a glitch? Anyway at least I know I am going to at least get my 20 bucks back if it falls through right? Anyone else know any more about this?

I think it's not right at all to have 2letter.de the minimum domain has to be 3.

V.
In addition to the TLD ending ".de", a domain may only be comprised of digits (0–9), hyphens, the letters A–Z and the other letters, which are listed in the annex. It must contain at least one letter of the alphabet and it may not either begin or end with a hyphen, nor may it have a hyphen as both its third and fourth characters. No distinction is made between upper and lower case. The minimum length of a domain is three characters and its maximum length 63 characters. If the domain includes any of the letters contained in the Annex, the decisive factor for determining the maximum length is its so-called ACE-encoded form as defined in Request for Comments 3490. It is not permitted to give the domain the name of any other TLD (such as .com, .net, .org or any of the country code TLDs) or any of the combinations of letters that are used for road-vehicle licence plates in Germany indicating the district in which they are issued, or any combination that would result from replacing an umlaut in such a licence-plate geographic abbreviation with the two-letter equivalent, i.e. ä with ae, ö with oe or ü with ue.

I just put yes, didnt really know what it meant. Just thought it was something I had to agree to when buying a foriegn domain? Should I email namecheap? Why would they even sell them if your not supposed to buy them?

it must be a bug.

Imagine that even LLL.de worth high $XXX to low $XXXX , so that tells you that it`s basically impossible that anyone would have left a LL.de if it was possible to reg.

Yes it was a bug.... Just got a message from namecheap saying that the registration was not successful, this being a couple hours later and they refunded me my money. Thanks guys! A learning experience....

if you can hand reg such a domain, you should know that there's probably some bug somewhere. Such super quality names can't be hand regged. .de is the second most valuable extension after .com. We all know what LL.coms go for

it is a bug at namecheap. It will also let you register One Letter .de names. But then they refund you back.

If domains with only two characters were registered, there would be a serious risk of confusion with the endings of the country code Top Level Domains (ccTLDs), which are also comprised of two letters (such as .uk for the United Kingdom or .fr for France). Domains with the pattern TLD.TLD (such as uk.de) would also cause technical problems on account of a programming bug in a version of DNS Resolver software that is in widespread use. The errors that occur cause difficulties not only for the domain that triggers them but for other sites as well. This problem is described in detail in RFC1535 (A Security Problem and Proposed Correction With Widely Deployed DNS Software).

It is not enough simply to exclude existing ccTLDs from registration, because their number and composition are not entirely constant over time. Examples of changes are the ccTLD .dd, which was once earmarked for the former German Democratic Republic (which no longer exists), and the ccTLD .ps, which wasn't used in the past, but has now been introduced for Palestine. That explains why there is an absolute rule that no two-character domains may be registered under .de.

But actually there are a few grandfathered domains like db.de... :hehe:
