2 contests - $100 total

I need 2 designs. One logo and one site layout. Let me address something first:

I posted one of these for design already, but the contest was I guess boycotted because people thought I didn't pay a previous contest( http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=131766 ). This is untrue. The contest was for a friend's company, and I recomended them. That contest winner was paid last week. http://www.namepros.com/showthread.php?t=128797&page=3&pp=10

Look at my trader rating. I've held a couple contests and paid everytime. I hope that's cleared up and I look foward to these 2 contests:

Contest #1 - $75 site layout NO CODING NEEDED

I can not divuldge the site name. It is a premium political name that I would compare to president .com, whitehouse .com, election .com - Not in terms of design, but in terms of the value (it is a one word .com). I want this to be a money making site.

What I want to do is have a Left and right wing veiw of politics. Somehow divide the site in half, the left side with accents of blue, the right with accents of red. and have political viewpoints discussed on each side. Think Drudgereport.com vs. Wonkette.com. I need links to different news orginizations for each side and I want it more blog style on each side (more like wonkette.com than drudgereport.com, although I do like the # of news links he has.) There would be links to news stories and potential commentary on them, and editorials.

There should be room for advertising on both sides and one ad space across the top, the side ads would be bought by right or left leaning companies, and the right side for right-winged companies...There should be an ad across the top that would be reserved for whoever pays the most.

The design should be obviously red, white and blue, unless you have a really great idea that you think would look cool. Also, since I can't divulge the name, pretend the name is "Website.com" and place it on the page accordingly.

It's a reference to the famous Seinfeld quote about being gay. The site will be a pro-gay site FOR HETEROSEXUAL MEN...why? - Because as the slogan says "More gay guys means more chicks for us."

The logo will be the the universal symbole for "male"

Going through the circle part of the universal symbol for "women"

The male symbol should be Blue, the women symbol pink.

The only thing I'm not sure about is how graphic to make it...I'm thinking the male symbol should appear as phallic as possible...but I'll wait for a submission or 2 and try to give as much feedback as possible.

The contests will end Monday the 31st at 7pm EST. I need them to be in vector fomat. Payment by paypal. I retain all rights to layout/logo. I think that's everything. Let me know if I'm leaving something out.

will7 - the ONLY thing is to round out the interior points of the "8". And I'm not sure about the blue. It may be too soft, but as far as everything else - it's right on.

and can you add the slogan?

Because more gay guys means more chicks for us.

Could you please explain what you mean by "round the corner points", please? Maybe a screenshot with the areas in question circled would help?

The "8" is made up of the blue line. on one side of the blue line is the actual "8" - on the other side is the rest of the page. The actual "8" - where if the "8" was made up of 2 circles that had been smashed together - the part where those theoretical circles made impact - there are two little "points" - those should be rounded or softened a tad.

I folded my cards a long time ago... there's not much variation here; Will should be declared the winner as he has basically got it down just needs to be tweaked. No other way of really doing it any better way... i say declare him the winner and just iron out the kinks one-on-one.

lol i 4got Border was a "she"... well that changes everything. and I 4got "she" was still in the running although to me their designs are about neck and neck... like I said, not much variance as the direction is pretty crystal clear at this point.. guess its a matter of who perfects it and has the extra "hmpf"
