I am putting together a gaming tournament, and I am looking for 2-3 partners to run the tournaments, website, forums, etc. everything else can be learned as we go.
The gaming tournament is for the Battlefield series (and we will add BF Special Forces, and Battlefield 2142 as we go)
Money will be made through advertising and tournament participation. The first tournament is setup for 8 teams, and will last for 4 months with a preseason game, season tournament, playoffs, and championship.
We will be able to add more teams, and more tournaments as we grow.
I figured for the first tournament we would keep it free to participate to help get the word out, and then start charging a fee.
There are over 3 million Battlefield 2 players, and thousands of Battlefield Clans that love to compete, finding 8 teams to participate will not be very hard.
The first tournament is scheduled to start with the pre-season game on Feb 7, 2007 so we still have some time to work out the details with the rules, and guidelines, etc.
I setup a temp site to get things started, we will need to determine a domain name, and move the site over to a real host.

It will cost us 53.95 for a ranked game server to host the tournaments plus the cost of web hosting. This monthly cost will be spent between the partners.
There are several gaming forums, battlefield 2 forums, and thousands of battlefield 2 team sites we will be able to post our ads on to get 8 teams to start this tournament.
