Example. http://www.neligh.net/images/new casiknow.jpg

The logo can contain any number of colours. Any colours are acceptable. Would like to maybe see Dark Red, Black and Grey. It can be a white background. Must have a search box and indicate gambling. Not cartoony.

The logo should be modern and clean, professional . Keywords to think about are, Hip, lounge, Casino, www.32red.com , www.sportwetten-online.com The letter C might be bigger than the rest?

Any font is acceptable, so long as it's easily readable.

"Have fun with this! We are in the process of reinventing our brand image to more accurately reflect our service offering, and this logo will be a prominent feature in the new brand identity."

Please upload your image here or PM me with info to where it can be seen. Or send to [email protected]

Would like to pick a winner by 5-26-2005 Thursday 10 am centeral standard time. Winner will be paid by Pay PAL or by any other means they wish. If there is a bank tranfer we will not pay for the fee.

OK, this is it. My final entry. Everything you see below is entirely custom-made by me in Illustrator. Really tried to hit that professionalism this time!

Shouldn't this be closing soon?

Anyway, here it is! Based it on my last idea, but its been significantly changed. Really hope you like this one!

I was considering adding some poker chips, but thought they would clutter the design too much, so I decided not to.

Well, there you go, my final entry.

P.S: I think this could actually be the closest contest I've ever been involved in, so much great work. I guess it all comes down to what Dan likes, at the end of the day. Once again, I wish luck to all!

I agree, it is a pretty nice entry. But, I'd like to question the authenticity of those dice:

http://www.gothamist.com/weather/images/dice.jpg

That red dice looks a lot like the one on his image. For the other one, a simple colour change in Photoshop would make it that colour. It also looks like he applied a blur too.

I'm not 100%, but, it does look a lot like it. Same rotation, same faces on the dice etc. Just a bit suspicious - that's all!

lol will do you go out of your way to find other people images? I mean i guess its good but you always seem to make some designers feel bad lol

A simple search on "dice" and that's all it took. It's just that, when I see a logo with an image that looks realistic, then it is, most of time, likely that they got it from a Google search.

I'm sorry if getting found out for ripping makes people feel bad, but, it's all in the interest of fairness. If I am wrong, fair enough, but, if I am right, then surely it is better for Dan, the person who is going to pay $150 for one of these designs.

How happy would you be if you paid $150 for a design only to get an email saying that the image used was copyrighted a few days later? Not very happy I bet. That is what I, and, I am sure most of the people on this board, want to avoid happening.

You are not an idiot. Those are absolutely the same die as the red one you're speaking of. Although it really doesn't matter since he has significantly changed their look/layout. I agree the red die has not been changed much, and it's kind of cheesy-wheezy to use someone else's graphic without changing it VERY significantly, but copyright/TM infringement has not exactly occurred. This graphic was used on the Gothamist, so they probably got it from a free or very cheap clip-art source. If it was on Coca-Cola's website (for example), you could be sure they actually paid for the image through a stock-art catalog or produced it through their own design dept.

I think it's safe to say no one will recognize the graphic if he get's paid for the logo (short of someone actually going to Google and trying to find it). Especially since it was used on an article about the weather. Maybe the guy who designed this logo actually owns or works for the Gothamist? :|

This is not just IMHO. I've been in the industry for 14 years.

I suppose you're right, but, even still, I wouldn't be very happy paying a substantial amount of money for a logo where the image was freely available on another site. But, I guess it's up to Dan, at the end of the day, and his decision on the outcome of this contest!
