Saw this sitting in GD expired auctions with no bids with a few mins left.

I thought not a bad short domain.

1080 is quite a well known number (graphic cards, extreme sports etc) so I bought it.

Registered in all main extensions plus many less common ones.

Lots of companies seem to have 1080 in their name too.

Thoughts?

Has seemingly been registered since .co registration restrictions were lifted.

I'm broadly aware of the Chinese number chip thing and their dislike of zeros, but in this case I was coming from a western position. I wouldn't have bought 1079 or 1090, but 1080 is sort of a special number for the reasons I mentioned.

Also has nice pronunciation - ten eighty. Kinda short and catchy, plus memorable.

You mentioned 1080 graphic card but that will be applicable for current generation only. Very soon they will be gone from the market and will be replaced by next generation Nvidia GTX 2080/1180

True. But I think 1080 has meaning beyond that. I mentioned it more as a parking option.
