The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Age does not matter, and Estibot is just an algorithm, so it really doesnt have much say. I can see this brandable selling at an enduser for around $1500 but for a reseller I would start it at a $1 auction and let it go up from there.

I didn't know this! Thanks for the info. So this valuation means absolutely nothing then.

Typically automated valuations mean little to nothing. Some use Estibot to gauge value based on search volume and cost per click, but for brandables the valuation is useless since it’s unlikely “swayr” has good metrics. That being said, Estibot values this one at $620 and I think that’s not too far off.

If you were to sell on Namepros, you’re unlikely to get more than $1-200 for it, if that. On a brandable marketplace like Brandpa or Brandbucket, if it gets accepted, I see them pricing it at $2-3K. $25K is a far far off dream.

Have you had any inquiries at all in the 10 years you’ve owned it? If you have, that could give you a sense of how much interest there may be.

But truth be told, 5 letter names are still available for hand registration, and many just like this come on expired auctions marketplaces or Godaddy close outs for $10-20 every day.

Good luck!

Alright thanks a lot for the help!
This should definitely point me in the right direction, and especially avoid a far off valuation, as I know very little about domain valuation (first time trying to sell).

I haven’t been able to sell a five letter where the first four letters are a real word and the fifth just an add on for over $10,000. and I’ve also sold such names for $1000. I also have such names that are unsold.

I don’t see $25k for this name.

Oh but this isn't what I'll end up asking, this quote was just given to me by FreeValuator, nothing more.

I'll keep digging to get the price right.

If you list it on marketplaces like SEDO, Afternic, Godaddy Premium etc (or own landing page) for anything above $1000 (Say $25000), only a real needy buyer (End User) who has no other option than to buy this domain (whatever reason) will pay you your desired price, which is highly unlikely. Plus you will keep on paying renewal fees every year of waiting for right "End User".

If you list it on Brandbucket (provided they approve it and they will price is between $1500 to $3500) you might sell it for that price with a tiny probability. Remember, they have 50,000 other domains listed at the same time. You will pay listing fees upfront (plus you will keep on paying renewal fees every year waiting).

If you sell it for no reserve auction here (or GD or Flippa etc) you will end up getting only domainers interested and maybe $100 to $200 maximum as winning bid, but there are much much higher chances (almost certain) of selling.

If domaining is not your thing, I will highly suggest you to sell it here on Namepros because
1. No listing fees and no waiting and renewals.
2. sell it quick and leave the obsession behind.
