10,000 BC getting slaughtered

...by the critics.

I just read through the reviews published by several (online) magazines and the common message is: Horrible!
From the New York Times to Rotten Tomatoes and IMDB, professional critics and users alike, are more intrigued by the animated (CGI) animals than the actors, story line/plot, dialogs and historical accuracy.

So,...is it worth the $16 bucks to go see the movie or is everyone else right for once? The previews sure looked spectacular!

Yeah, 10,000 BC, good old days, when none of 3-letter .com's was taken :)

Its a good movie.

The cgi sucks, but it is still a good movie.

On a side note, what movie theater charges $16??

I saw a trailer for this a bit ago, and it looked awesome. man vs beast, no dialogue!

then I saw an updated trailer a week ago. Silly clichรฉ plot, silly accents, lots of talking. done so many times before, doubt I'll go and see it

I never got my interest. Even with the trailer or animation. Glad to see it flop.

I saw Vantage Point today ... pretty good, not great IMHO.
Good action / car chases! :music:

I'm glad we were talked out of both BC and Semi Pro ...

I saw it today. CGI was awesome, mammoths trampling hundreds of people around a pyramid...awesome.... story was sort of weak, there definitely wasn't much dialouge ("he speaks to the long toothed cat" was one of the longer sentences in the movie), but it's still worth seeing.

I refuse to spent one cent on a new movie at a cinema(although some look very good, including 10,000 BC)....untill Indiana Jones 4 hits......

but then again i remember spending money on Apocalypto..but that was better off as a rental after i watched at the cinema.

I have heard a more people say they liked 10,000 BC the others said wait to rent it.

I have to somewhat agree with this. :p

When I said above that the cgi sucked, I meant it differently than it sounds.

Everything looks vivid and real (for the most part), but whenever they walk or run, it just looked fake (to me)

But it was still a good move.

Definitely could have been more epic. Way too predictable (doesn't usually bother me, but this time it did) and the main character was a sissy. Yes, I know, it was the point of the story, shy son of coward must rise up to save his people, etc. But something tells me that a) if you were a crying wimp in 10000 BC you would DIE and b)a sexy cavegirl isn't going to fall madly in love with you.

When I saw the pyramids I was praying it would all of the sudden morph into a Stargate sequel.

Wait for Blu-ray.

I wanna go to the movies!! :'( I want to see Vantage Point and had an interest in 10,000 BC too. It would be a toss up if I actually was able to get out and see a movie. It happens so rarely for me :red:

So alas, I will probably see both of them when they make it to DVD. Gotta love Netflix!! :tu:

Boy things have deteriorated. When I was young we got to go all the way back to 1 Million BC for $1. Time travel is becoming increasingly expensive.
