Oh, a lot of this looks real bad.

The fun part is going to be them coming back with excuses because I doubt they are gone for good. About the only one I can come up with is Benson may be on a business trip and GCGirl may have lost access to the Internet. However, those excuses still would not do the job here.

At least one of them had to know something and could have at least tried to reach the customers. If my theory is correct (and its just a theory), I am sure Benson still had access to a laptop and I think nearly every library has Internet Access now. If Benson did not know the rest of her customers, he did know me.

In other words, the only good excuse (if they are not hurt) for this mess would be that both of them got stranded on a deserted island somewhere lol.

Except the only flaw in that plan is that I called (who I now assume was Cass herself) and she hung up on me. And then she didn't answer my next call, which is why I say someone else should call.

Here's the basic timeline of what happened:

3-5 Days Ago (Not exactly sure when): My site goes down. PM and email Cassandra for support. Email bounces back.
2 Days Ago: Other NPers start pointing out that they are hosted with Cassandra as well, and that their sites are down, thus showing that her server has been suspended, deleted, or is broken.
1 Day Ago: I realize that Cassandra's website, divine-hosting.com, is now parked on eNom.
Today, 2 PM: I see that my sites are still down and that Cassandra hasn't been on NP in days, so I assume the worst. I call ev1.net to see if anyone can help, but they say without specific verification information, there is nothing they can do.
Today, 2:30 PM: I decide to call the number listed on her whois information. A woman picks up, I ask for Cassandra, she asks who is calling, I tell her "someone she's hosting," she says hold on and then a few seconds later I realize she hung up on me.
Today, 2:45PM: I call the number back (who I now assume is Cassandra herself) and no one picks up. I get a voicemail but don't leave a message.
Today, 3:15PM: I decide to call ev1.net back realizing that she's scammed us. This new lady I talk to seems a lot more willing to help, but she says the guy I need to talk to is on a business call, so she takes a message. I also find out around this time that BensonTwenty was backing her and hasn't been on NP in December yet, either.

So I am now awaiting a call back from ev1, if they don't call back tonight I'll give them a call tomorrow and then leave a voicemail at Cassandra's number.

Yes, the phone call part hurts. Now that I think about it, she also could have called her host if there was a problem with her Internet Access.

Keep me posted if you learn anything new. I have basically given up the sites for dead by now, but it would be great if they survived somhow through this whole ordeal.

If I didn't use one when calling people like PayPal, my phone bill would be in the millions (esp. with their annoying elevator music) :lala:

I think DomainOgre should call her too, we basically need to bug her into getting our sites back.

If she hung up on you, I dont think phone calls are going to work. I think its plain to see that she would have helped by now if she wanted to. Besides, she has wasted enough of my time and money as it is.

I dont think she should get away with it for sure, but not sure what we can do that's really going to help. Is there somewhere to report stuff like this?

Keep calling her, get her attention. Did she have any uptime guarentee? Take her to court! (<---- A little on the strong site)

Start calling her at 1am and continue to call on the hour till 5am, just let the phone ring and if she does pick up, you hang up on her...

GCGirl4Ever has good rep so far....hmmm and i believe whatever reason she has is a good though it might not be acceptable to "clients"

For unders $300/year hosting.... One person hoster----> no emergency backup

Imagine if all Businesses worked that way, clients would be getting screwed left, right and center...

Yep, Perhaps she just dissapeared from the net ... Happens sometimes. Or perhaps even worse was in a serious accident or died. It does happen.

I think we've already established that nothing serious happened to her or her internet, and this was her intention:

- Her hosting domain is now parked
- Hung up on me when I called
- Not replying to emails
- BensonTwenty was helping; he's gone too.

All - I have just signed on again after a few weeks absence to find this storm brewing. In answer to some of the comments etc - here are the following.

Yes I was financially backing GCGirl however she retained all logins etc for the master accounts and now I cannot get into any of my acocunts either. I was for the most part a silent partner with the plan being that I would eventually take over all of Cass's hosting on a more financially viable relationship with her being tech support ane me being financial support. The only person who really knew of this was Domainogre as he rightly stated. Ogre - if I had known this had happened I would have contacted you right away as promised but due to me being out in the boonies, this wasn't possible.

I have been travelling on business and there are still some parts of the world where the internet is not readily accessible so I thought that as I have never had any problems before with the hosting or anything like that from Cassandra, there would be no problem for me to disappear.

Where have I been? - in a country called Oman where my company is setting up new offices and we have been living practically on a building site with no network or internet access so dialling in was furthest from my mind.

I have been hit as well as all of my sites that were hosted on the dedicated EV1 server are now down.

I have sent an email just now to Cassandra on reading all of this requesting an update and an explanation and am going to try and give her a call.

As soon as I have an explanation I will update everybody.

Its good to hear from you in this, Benson. Ouch, so you didnt know anything either? I thought you may be on business trip, but didnt know it was somewhere that far off for that long.

I hope nothing bad happened to her, but she has some serious explaining to do.
