Good that it has history; it seems I haven't been that much off. 625 isn't that far from my $500.
How much did you pay for it? the $625?
Anyway.
With this history, perhaps list it at ~$1k so you have room to negotiate a bit. It appears the market is getting weak-ish, especially in the <1K range (but not in top range where it is still running hot). So I'd not count on a larger purchase (like 2k or whatever) but you can/should definitely look for something more than the last sale.
Good luck again!
If you check search history on Google for this words combination, you will find that you under'estimated a bit this domain name ... a project related to this niche will return your investment in no time, up to 165000 searchs for this words and 880 unique users per month, the potential is big, atleast it is my own view and I am looking for different opinions from different members like yours
Thanks again for your time.
Always look for more opinions.
As for the searches, you're confusing things a little. A project in this line gives return not based on the number of google searches, but based on the problem it resolves and the solidity of its market fitness. And it's not easy. For each tech startup that has some success, 100 go bust. With or without those searches. I can also tell this to you from direct experience.
In fact it's easier to launch a successful startup with NO traffic whatsoever, but with a good product and the right concept and then targeting the right customers in the right location. Read more about Dropbox for example. They didn't leverage any such traffic, but got busy calling people.
I've been using the site on the .us extension (that forwards to another site) to check for validity of words for Words With Friends. It's a good domain, though probably limited in its potential applications. A quick google search shows a few things a word checker could be good for: games and CVs are at the top of the list. Also, a buyer related to education might come along (spell checking for students). It may also work for checking and fixing texts people send via email, sms etc. though most services probably already have word checking/fixing capabilities. No trademarks have been filed for this term in the US so far so that's not that great. I think it could be worth a few thousand bucks to the right buyer if you're willing to sit on it for some time. The lower you'll aim, the better your chances will be of moving this name for a profit, IMO.
