Are Low-Count One-Word .si Domains Still Worth Registering?
Hi everyone,
Hope you’re all doing well.
I’ve been researching the remaining one-word, dictionary-word .si domains and noticed something interesting. At this stage, many of the stronger one-word .si SLDs with a DotDB count of 100+ appear to already be registered.
However, there are still quite a few genuine one-word dictionary .si domains available with DotDB counts in the 15–30 range.
This raises a question for me:
Would you consider these lower-DotDB-count .si domains worth registering, or would you generally stay away from them?
My concern is that domains with relatively low extension counts may have a much smaller pool of potential end users and, consequently, may also be difficult to resell to other domain investors. On the other hand, if the .si extension continues to gain recognition and develops into a stronger alternative to .ai, could even these lower-count, dictionary-word domains potentially become low-to-mid four-figure wholesale/investor assets over the next few months?
I’d particularly appreciate the perspective of investors who actively follow .si and have experience buying or selling .si domains.
How much weight would you personally give to DotDB count when evaluating an available one-word .si domain?
Would you:
- Avoid anything below a certain DotDB threshold?
- Still register a 15–30 count domain if the word itself is exceptionally strong?
- Or focus primarily on the quality and commercial potential of the word rather than the number of registrations across other extensions?
Interested to hear your thoughts and, especially, any real-world examples of low-DotDB-count .si domains that have sold well.
Thank you!
