Sedo Nameservers

suntech · May 24, 2006

I just registered a .us name and after reading the requirements for owning .us TLDs I found the nameservers must be located in the U.S.

Does anyone know if the sedo nameservers (ns1.sedoparking.com,ns2.sedoparking.com) are located in the U.S. ??

The Sedo name servers are located in Germany. You can use one of the following free DNS services which have servers in the US:
http://www.mydomain.com
http://www.domaindns.com
http://freedns.afraid.org

Just curious, anyone know why exactly the nameservers have to be us based?

So us courts can have jurisdictional control over content maybe?
