More creamy goodness about a possible Yahoo/Bing hookup: Do You Bing? Yahooers May Soon Search With Microsoft - Advertising Age - Digital
So the upgrades have been completed. We are showing 5 less ads than before. The biggest change that most of you won't see until tomorrow or later this week, is a new technology that we are using to decide which keywords to put on your landing pages. Without going into too many details, you will see a lot more relevant keywords with more advertisers. You shouldn't see the old "hot stock" and "hot stocks" showing up on the landing pages anymore. Any domain that gets clicks on a daily basis will see the changes starting tomorrow, everybody else will see it within the next 1-3 days. By this time next week everybody should see a nice increase.

Apologies if this is a bit of a newbie question, but I've just had my application to join parked.com rejected on the grounds that the traffic to my domains isn't a high enough standard - but surely the entire point of domain parking is that you can get a site up for a domain without needing traffic first?
If I had a site with traffic, I wouldn't use a parking service would I? Or have I just missed the point, and parked.com only meant for people who snap others domains with traffic after they've lapsed?
If that's the case parked isn't what I'm after anyway, so can anyone recommend some better alternatives? I just want a good place to park some freshly registered domains with relevant links.
Thanks.

One thing that is good about Microsoft is that they may not have more advertisers than Yahoo today, but they have more countries than Yahoo does today.

Tony,
How what will affect you? The Yahoo/Microsoft deal? No idea. As I mentioned before, I think there are a lot of advantages and disadvantages to any deal. Combining the two systems, I would hope they chose to use Microsoft's AdCenter and not Yahoo's system.
Past that, I've asked some friends at Yahoo and they said they haven't heard anything on there end. One even said they thought the writers were bored this week so they needed something to write about.

I have to report that I'm already seeing an increase in estimated rev!
