I wanted to create a thread for members of the community who were outspoken against .SI adoption to admit they were wrong and apologize to all the domain investors they mislead with their statements and opinions.

Feel free to admit you were wrong below and leave your apologies.

its like when the strong poop smell starts getting out of the bathroom and spreading all over the house. You start wondering if there is a problem with the forums plumbing

50% of the forum was against .SI, and we now know many of the "haters" are buying up .SI

Nobody wants to publicly admit they were wrong? Not surprising.

The market and actual sales data should speak for themselves. .SI has clearly gained more attention recently, but people made their earlier opinions based on the information available at the time. No need for apologies. Just follow the data and adjust your view when the market changes.

Where do you get the 50% number?
I just been watching and learning, but I’d like to know where you got that number from

From a poll I ran on this thread:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/1390674/

And other polls on X showed about 50/50 split between supporters and detractors.

I say detractor, because the behavior I observed from those in disagreement was nothing short of outrageous. There seemed to be an unwarranted amount of dislike towards .si holding it to an extremely high standard while refusing to apply that same standard against other TLDs.

For any unbiased, logically-minded person, .SI represented a a rare opportunity with many positive signals going for it. These people were met with constant backlash, and many of these "haters" I like to call them invested a lot of time and energy into badmouthing .SI and trying to stunt its growth.

It's one thing to have an opinion, but badmouthing an entire extension (without reason) does no good for the domain community.

Not even bagholders care if .SI is "adopted" (somehow being used by an EU country for decades doesn't count), and the more .SI cultists like you spam this forum hoping someone bails you out of your mistake, the more non-bagholders realize we made the right choice.

"Adoption" is Godaddy/Namecheap selling this TLD, not a standup comedian at the UN, and the last thing you want is people easily buying .SI for $10 at Namecheap (or $60 at Godaddy).

This isn't crypto, where one bitcoin selling for $80k means yours are also worth $80k; when someone fakes another sale on X for engagement, your .SIs are still worth the same.

You want people taking your dead weight off your hands, like we all do, but since end users barely even care about .AI, all the noise about .SI is just about creating FOMO in greedier greater-fool domainers, which is why you spam so much here.

I hope you graciously accept this sincere apology.
