Need help with PHP & MySQL

Tsvetan · Sep 25, 2006

Dear all,

I have a website, which I am planning to translate into couple of languages. My problem is that I don't know the code which makes my web site to switch between the languages. I will be very thankful to all of you who try to help me either by providing me with an example code or directing me to a tutorial or just anyhow. And please if possible within the margins of PHP & MySQL.Thanks!

Are you running a particular CMS, forum, etc? I know that most of them have language modules available but it depends on what you are going to use.

It is a classifieds website.

What script are you using?

It all depends if your script was designed to support multiple languages. If it wasn't, it might take some serious re-writting of the code to allow you to switch between languages. You can find a freelancer willing to do the job for you if you are willing to pay.

The easier way is adding a copy-and-paste box to your website or a free online translation facility such as these:

www.altavista.com/help/free/free_searchbox_transl
www.freetranslation.com/tools
www.worldlingo.com/en/company/links.html

I agree, for simple sites.

I use them some times even though the design is not so professional, what is acceptable only in certain cases.
