We won an auction in R10.net and made the payment. Domain had a 90 day lock. So, seller requested us to open an account in NAMEBRIGHT. So we did it. Domain transferred. As, 90 days lock continues, we didn't check the account may be for a month or more. Then we checked it and saw ACCOUNT SUSPENDED.

And we are a COMPANY in United Kingdom. Not a personal account. How come we are a FRAUD?

Does NAMEBRIGHT win customers like this?

The Auction we won:

I understand from that thread you paid via bank transfer.

Where was the bank located and what was the name of the account holder?

Hello,

Bank is Wise and Account Holder is our Company. Official. But, this is an R10 AUCTION and where we paid is not related with Namebright.

We only opened an account in Namebrgiht and domain transferred to our account. We didn't do any payment in Namebrgiht. So, how is our account suspended? Still we got no explanation.

No, I’m asking who it is you paid. The domain appears to have been owned by Hugedomains, so it’s kind of odd they were selling this name on a forum like that.

No. If you look up WHOIS, it is in NAMEBRIGHT and with WHOIS PRIVACY.

Seller is also TURKISH. And it is a legitimate seller with 321 sales of %100 positive review.

And, about the SUSPENSION, NAMEBRIGHT gave us no information.

You do not understand what I said.

The domain appears to have been owned by Hugedomains

"have been owned" refers to the PREVIOUS owner.

This is the WHOIS information from June, before you "bought" it:

It belonged to Hugedomains.com in June.

Seller is also TURKISH. And it is a legitimate seller with 321 sales of %100 positive review.

Good. Then you will have no problem having that legitimate seller explain to you when and how they got the domain name and how they paid for it.

And, about the SUSPENSION, NAMEBRIGHT gave us no information.

Yes. That's because Namebright and Hugedomains are owned by the same people.

Looking again at the whois data above, there is a registrar expiration date of June 4, 2026, so the name appears to have been in the auto-renew grace period. One third party site shows it going to auction as of July 11:

https://abtdomain.com/expired-domains/auctions/2026-07/end-2026-07-11/

timarhane.com 9 22 0 590 LOW

So, either there was a renewal error or there was a fraudulent auction payment and the name was taken back.

Sorry, my English got worse by the time. You are right, previous owner.

Problem is, Namepros gives no explanation to us. If they did, we could have asked the seller. We are only suspended. And, our last ticket has not been answered. This is not a good behaviour for a company. It shouldn't be hard to give an explanation. Because, if there is a FRAUD, for example, if previous buyer used a bad card (I start to think of this); if we know this; we can request our money back in R10.

Above e-mail is not a good standing.

Let's say, seller is FRAUD. Possible. But, why aren't we given a proper explanation?

We sent them another e-mail. Also, we sent 2 e-mails at the weekend with no answers. I hope this is answered.

Because, if we don't know what happened, how can we ask it to the seller? We need info.

Because the seller knows how they got the name.

I never understand these kinds of threads where it looks like someone might have bought a stolen name, the name is reclaimed by the registrar, and then people get more angry at the registrar than the person who sold them the stolen name.

https://www.namepros.com/threads/gn...omain-purchased-at-their-marketplace.1369874/

When registrars determine that a name was transferred fraudulently, they do not provide explanations of what the fraud was and how they determined it to be fraud. That would be pretty dumb to just give people lessons on how to do a better job in the future.

Obviously, the registrar is not going to explain anything to you.

So you have two choices:

1. You can keep banging your head against the wall making demands that the registrar answer your questions and they can keep ignoring you, or

2. You can ask the seller how they obtained the domain name and ask them for proof of how they did that.

Option 1 is not working for you. How long are you going to keep doing what does not work?

You could also do the community a service by identifying the seller, so that other people do not buy names from that seller. But, as with the thread that I linked above, these kinds of Namepros threads never result in that happening. I wonder why.

Simply like that?
Really O_o?
Unbelievable!
Thanks for the tip though!

You can ask, sure. If the seller doesn’t want to talk about it, that is also informative.

I also don't understand why people do business with a company that has an average rating of 1.6 on Trustpilot.

Obviously, your "legitimate seller" did. And then he did business with you. Does that tell you something about your "legitimate seller"?

Let's say you buy a healthy cow from someone, and the cow is in a barn owned by the cow market.

The day after you buy it, the cow dies. The people who own the barn inform you that the cow has died.

Instead of asking the seller why your "healthy" cow died the day after you bought it, you are angry with the people who own the barn.

Is this directed at me or the OP? 😁

I think it's pretty obvious to everyone that either the buyer didn't do any due diligence at all, or he is involved in something shady.

Personally, I would never buy domains from shady places and sellers.

And I would never voluntarily open an account with NameBright. If they don’t care about their own reputation at all, it really makes you wonder what else they are neglecting...

I’m also a big fan of analogies: If a hundred people in the reviews say that the bar's chairs are covered in diarrhea, the waiter pukes on you, and the beer tastes like piss... there is no way in hell I’m going there, even if I got an invitation from Miss Universe. 😂🤣

In short:
a) Always do your due diligence.
b) Don't use service providers that smell like shit, puke, and piss.

I lost you exactly here, when I was thinking milking the cow, but the cow was dry and then died.
Such a deeply sadly day :/

Hello,

Sorry for late answer. I was kind of ill.

Seller says, he won the domain from DROPCATCH and he does this for years. Also, in his profile, there are 323 SUCCESFUL TRADES. Not only 1 BAD REVIEW. So, seller looks legitimate. And also, R10 has always AUCTIONS like this. There are many TURKISH DOMAIND TRADERS there.

DROPCATCH and NAMEBRIGHT is owned by the same company. Domain won from DROPCATCH and sold to me by an AUCTION in R10 and I opened an account in NAMEBRIGHT and domain is transferred to me. (I opened and account, because seller told me that 90 days domain lock is active. So, I had to open an account in NAMEBRIGHT.)

So, it does not look like a FRAUD. It looks LEGITIMATE.

But, lets say, somebody did a FRAUD?

Then NAMEBRIGHT should send me an explanation and I can claim my money back from the seller.

NO EXPLANATION means, they don't care the customer.

By the way, we are not new comers. We have more than 100 domains. I personally invest in domains more than 25 years. And first time such a thing happened.

Think about BUSINESS. If this is not solved, we will never use any of this companies services and will write about this in every account we have. So, this is good for the company?

Also, domain is just a 70$ domain. So, it is not about the price. If they don't help, our loss is just 70$'s. No problem. But, NAMEBRIGHT and related services will die for 1000's of people.

By the way, NAMEBRIGHT support requested our USERNAME again for our last support request. (New one.) I hope it is solved.
