Hi everyone...Ray here. New to the domaining scene (about 3 months), so please be gentle. Paid $97 to learn domain flipping from a reputable "coach" back in July. Learned some things, but the coaching was incomplete, and he kind of left me high and dry and didn't answer a lot of questions I had. On my own over the past few months, I've become pretty good at finding domains, but I never really learned how best to sell them, so I'm hoping to figure that out here. I'd appreciate any advice you folks may have, not just in selling, but in all facets of domaining.
I have about 40 domains right now that I would like to sell. Guidance and advice is really appreciated! Should I put any credence in appraisals from places like GoDaddy, FreeValuator, and estibot? I've been using FV and GD almost exclusively so far.
Also, looking through the "Requests" section, I see people looking for domains in a lot of different niches and categories. I have a question...If I don't have any domains in a niche someone is looking for, but feel pretty sure I can find them some, is it acceptable to PM them and ask if we can work out a deal where I research and find them X number of possible domains that would work for them, for a flat fee? That way, I'm not buying domains to hopefully sell to them that they may not be interested in (saving me a lot of $$), and they're not forced to over pay for domains they may not be thrilled about, saving them $$? BTW, if this isn't the correct place to ask this question, I apologize.
Thanks,
Ray
