I feel like this name is really good and have it up for sale for mid x,xxx

Should I increase the price to low xx,xxx?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

not to scare the buyer away set at make an offer and go from there this way you can feel out the buyer budget from their initial offer

Thats a good idea, it seems like most big sales happen via afternic so I might change the lander to them and set it to make offer. Should hopefully help me feel where the name is in terms of value if it starts getting some offers.

Any other thoughts on the name are appreciated.

sedo afternic dan the venue itself doesn't matter in my opinion the name and the marketing you do behind it does(Outbound if you choose to go that route instead of waiting it out).

Haven't had much luck outbounding so decided not to do it anymore. I have a lot of names with companies operating on lessor extensions, I just set the price and hopefully they will come to me.

When you see the name silentcrypto.com whats the first things that come to your mind? If you were to assume what the site does?

Thanks very much for the your help here btw.
You just set up a aggregate news site?...........

Silent Crypto is what, means what......? If you own, trade or promote Crypto why be silent?...........Personally it looks spammy, but most people will fall for it....so..........

You have a site, work on it and forget about trying to sell a weak domain......

Cheers for the advice, you come across as passive aggressive and irritated though and I'm not sure why?

Nope, someone else set up a website on the plural version of my domain name and I was pointing that out to show that someone else thought it was good enough to create a website on.

I gave my thoughts on a potential end user being a crypto mining rig seller. Could also be used for a crypto project or wallet etc.

I dont think silent is a bad keyword in combination with crypto given that crypto relates to encrypted (hidden) information.

Thanks for your thoughts anyway

Unless there is a crypto called "Silent" I am not really getting the usage for this domain.

Best of luck with it.

SilentCrypto does not seem like a natural match to me. And just because the word ''crypto'' is a hot topic I wouldn't assume you sell anything that comes with this. I myself have EffectiveCrypto and CryptoCamping, both are for XXX and low XXXX, with some SEO on pages and no huge line waving dollars at my face.
If I were you, I'd set up medium $XXX and be happy if any offer pops up.

I am in agreement with Brad, don't get it. SilentCrypto.com doesn't open up my imagination as a buyer. NextCrypto.com, sold for $1,495...fair name, it immediately tells me it has potential for up and coming crypto tokens, news, trends...and so on. Silent? You mentioned selling crypto mining equipment, not convinced, and an "unrelated crypto project"...seems vague, unless the coin is called Silent. Little value, in my little opinion

Thanks for sharing your views everyone. I'll take them into account when I reprice the name. Think I had probably fallen into the trap of over valuing a name just because I own it but thats why this thread is useful.

It's more like a trap of over evaluating words that are ''hot''. ''Crypto is hot, I need to have it!!'' And when you see something related, but is so-so in reality, just because it's available, your imagination draws a picture of people buying crypto domains like crazy and you just NEED to be there on the other side, with sellers...
So, the rule here: never buy on impulse. Run different statistics and if it's a hand-reg wait for at least 12 hours, then check again. Chances are you'll look on the name with different eyes.

Totally agree, I'm usually quite disciplined when it comes to setting buy prices and not going over it, plus I usually scout domains at auction well before they close so I dont impulse and get to have a second look at it.

This name was a godaddy closeout from a few months ago, I thought it was better than what it is but I still quite like it.

Thanks again for the tip 👍
