I've seen such in my inbox before. Thanks for the enlightment.

Not sure if this is a scam or spam but definitely annoying.

Like many I receive hundreds (If not 1000's) of these exact same emails every year, Thankfully they go straight into my 'trash' folder. Since Domain privacy came into effect they work to old registrant records that are often years old.

Their intention is to target corporations and businesses (not domainers) that may pay a small invoice as a defensive measure, rather than check their relationship with the sender. Must work because as I say they've been at it for years. I'm sure the format has been picked-up by many others as well.

I wouldn't worry about it but now your on their radar expect a lot more such 'reminders' In order to stay above the scam- finders and disablers they do normally carry a very tiny text of this is a "Business Solicitation" at the footer

Thank you for tagging us. We received an abuse report earlier with the evidence above and have taken action to suspend the associated domain name for illegal activity.

Please always be careful and verify the sender's address when you receive e-mails pertaining to your domain names.

Thanks for the swift response @namesilo

Next time can i forward that email to [email protected]? You could better judge the right domain owner and take some action.

They don't seem to get tired of this. Still get such even for domains I dropped long ago.
