I have no idea where to put this post, and l’m
pretty-sure l will receive an alert in a day or two from an intrepid NamePros detective, telling me very politely that my post was moved to the appropriate Discussion.
This transfer happens to me about half the time, as it seems l’m unable to figure out exactly where my post belongs. But l have an excuse: l teach college English, so l shouldn’t be expected to determine which Discussion should receive my post.
I have a question. You may have just read that Pfizer is taking a lot of heat, as a team of researchers inside Pfizer made a startling find in 2015: The company's blockbuster rheumatoid arthritis therapy Enbrel, a powerful anti-inflammatory drug, appeared to reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease by 64 per cent.
Pfizer determined that it would cost $80 million to further verify this incredible discovery, so it did not follow-up on this amazing revelation, but kept the information to itself until “The Washington Post” recently stumbled across documents exposing Pfizer’s cover-up.
Right after l read this news, l looked up Enbrel’s generic, which is etanercept and then submitted etanercept.com to Estibot for an appraisal—which was $30,000, and that “etanercept” receives 14,800 Google hits a month.
I was shocked, as l’m used to Estibot appraisals of “Less than $100.” My question is, would the domain name etanercept.net have any value?
Yes, l realize guesstimating domain name values is highly subjective, and, ultimately, a domain name is worth whatever a buyer is willing to pay.
I also would like to know why .net domains appear to cost more to register than the same domain names with a .com, at a given registrar—even though dot-coms are the obvious TLD of choice for most domain-name buyers.
Thanking you in advance.
